Henbrandt’s Selling on Amazon Policy

Henbrandt’s Selling on Amazon Policy

This article relates to the sale of Henbrandt products on Amazon by Henbrandt Ltd. If you’re looking to sell our products on Amazon, please see “Can I sell your products on Amazon?”

In order to continue managing our presence on the Amazon marketplace, Henbrandt Ltd is required to become a recognised “Amazon Seller”, and to start producing a measurable sales volume.

To this end, we have developed a new Amazon policy that will:

  1. Enable us to create a measurable sales volume for Henbrandt Ltd as an “Amazon Seller”.
  2. Protect the interests of our customers who also sell on Amazon.

The Henbrandt-on-Amazon policy has two main components.

  1. We will launch a range of products not in our existing range that will be sold exclusively on Amazon by Henbrandt Ltd, and will not be available on the Henbrandt website.
  2. We will launch new Henbrandt product lines and promote slow-moving Henbrandt product lines with Henbrandt Ltd as the seller, and then hand these over to our customers once the product lines are established on Amazon. This will enable us to take advantage of pay-per-click advertising and other marketing tools available only to active Amazon sellers.

We will publish a list of the Henbrandt product lines we will be launching further down this page. This list will be kept regularly up to date, so make sure you check back to keep up to date for information on what we are currently selling on or plan to sell on in the near future.

Please see below for a comprehensive list of products that we have launched or are due to launch on Amazon.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS NOW?

In late 2023, we ran into a problem with Amazon that led to the suspension of our Amazon Seller account, which we use to manage our Amazon inventory. You may have noticed many Henbrandt listings on Amazon either went offline or lost their optimisation.

The problem was caused by our long-standing approach to inventory management, which has been to make catalogue edits but not sales. Without any sales, Amazon did not recognise us as sellers, and we were incorrectly flagged by Amazon automation as serial catalogue abusers.

To resolve this issue and prevent it from happening again, we need to become recognised as Amazon sellers in our own right.

We remain committed to supporting our customers, and believe that when you succeed, so do we.

WHAT THIS MEANS

  • We will be launching a small number of Amazon-exclusive products, solely to create sales volume that will allow us to continue operating on Amazon and to maintain our catalogue inventory. These products are not part of our existing range.
  • These product lines will not be sold through our website, and they will not be in competition with our Amazon sellers who are selling on Henbrandt ASINs.
  • In gaining Amazon’s recognition as a seller in our own right, we will be able to promote new and slow-moving products through advertising and marketing options previously unavailable to us. Once new listings are established, we will hand them back to our established sellers to take over.
  • We will continue our long-standing investment in our Amazon presence  and supporting our Amazon seller customer base.

WHAT THIS DOES NOT MEAN

  • We are not interested in competing with our customers on Henbrandt ASINs. We will primarily work to launch new lines, but where we promote poorly performing items we will engage with all customers holding that product in good faith to ensure they are not negatively impacted.
  • We continue to have no interest in selling to consumers, and we have no intention of competing with or negatively impacting our customers. These steps are being taken purely to maintain our Amazon catalogue.
